Cavstream is an online website with the primary purpose to provide viewers with the best possible experience to stream online GAA matches. The project brief was to create a new website with a streaming video functionality where users can log in to pay for a match and watch them live.
The platform this website was created on is WordPress. WordPress was the best option for online streaming and payments with a wide variety of plugins available. The client wanted to allow users to visit the website, select a match, login, pay for the streaming and save it to their account to watch live when and where they choose.
Functionalities added to the website are as follows; streaming and video upload functionality, user account login and registration, payment system, online account management, secure website where content can’t be copied or shared with other users, mailing list to keep users up to date with new matches and a FAQ section on how the website works.
Upon completion of this project, the team at Cavstream had indepth training to allow them to upload videos, edit past matches and manage payments. This website was something Amy had not created before and was challenging to get all aspects of the client brief met. The result is a fully functional online streaming website with a user account dashboard. The website was a great project to work on and from the design stage to completion Amy enjoyed every aspect of it.
The website took 2 months to complete with an end date of June 2021.
